Time:         11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Location:  Atlantis Casino Spa Resort
3800 S. Virginia Street, Reno, Nevad

As Nevada Volunteers Executive Director, Amber Martin-Jahn, along with her team, works hand-in-hand with members of the governor-appointed commission to create a sustainable and realistic strategy to build an ethic of service throughout Nevada. Amber currently serves on the board of the American Association of State Service Commissions (ASC), the Alliance for Nevada Nonprofits, the Nevada affiliate for the National Council for Nonprofits, and Truckee Meadows Tomorrow (TMT).

As Immunize Nevada's executive director, Heidi Parker utilizes her decades-long experience in nonprofit program management, fundraising, and marketing to affect her community in a positive way, whether working with Head Start families, victims of violence, college students or Nevadans needing immunizations. Through her commitment to community, Heidi has earned the Reno Gazette Journal's Twenty under 40, Nevada Business Magazine Healthcare Hero, PRSA Sierra Nevada Mark Twain Community Service, Vegas Inc. Healthcare Headliner, and the CDC Childhood Immunization Champion award.

Megan Duggan is an Account Director at KPS3, an advertising and PR agency in Reno. While she was the Marketing and Communications Director for Sierra Nevada Journeys, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit, she lead two successful Nevada's Big Give campaigns in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada.  Her digital campaign efforts during Nevada's Big Give, in pair with direct mail pieces, allowed the organization to not only raise awareness but was also able to achieve fundraising goals to send 20 littles from Big Brothers Big Sisters to Sierra Nevada Journeys' summer camp on a full-ride scholarship.  She's passionate about digital media and wants local nonprofits to embrace Nevada's Big Give as a way to tell their story and use social media to further their mission and goals.

Nevada's Big Give harnesses the collective power of Nevada's donors. On this one day (3/22/18) we can see the magnitude of that giving. But, don't think of Nevada's Big Give as a competition. It is an opportunity for all of us to share how individuals can give of their time, talent and treasure to support the many needs of Nevada and Nevada's non-profit community. Working collectively, we can encourage those who already give and raise awareness to build a community of new donors.  Nevada's Big Give has some exciting changes in 2018. Join us to learn about those changes and hear how one organization embraces Nevada's Big Give for fundraising, friend-raising and mission awareness. And, there just might be a reward for those of you who invest of your time to learn more about how you can help us all tell Nevada's story of giving better.
